The project and the album Corpi d’Arco stem from the need to go beyond the well-established stereotype that sees the violin solely as a melodic instrument.

Corpi d’Arco is the result of a long journey full of improvisation and adaptations that follow one another to eventually become inextricably intertwined.

Corpi d’Arco is also an original show whose notes are sky blue just like the French 5-string DH violin that creates them, used alongside loop machine and pedalboards. Through the most varied bow strokes, the musician seems to be tracing the curves of a body that is ready to come to life in front of his audience – hence the title Corpi d’Arco, a clever play on the words colpi d’arco (bow strokes) and corpi (bodies). This experimental technique allows the violinist to be simultaneously bassist, guitarist, drummer and what not in the creation of original pieces.
